We cover the full DMV area, from Annapolis to Fairfax to Waldorf to Baltimore, and we know the routes, the venues, and the timing that works for each area. Pricing varies by vehicle, date, and how far in advance you book. Prom season (late April through early June) is peak demand across the entire DMV, so early booking gets you better selection and pricing.

Washington DC Prom Transportation

DC proper has the highest concentration of prom venues, photo spots, and dinner options, which makes routing easier but traffic trickier.
Popular DC prom routes:
- Pre-prom photos at the Lincoln Memorial, National Mall, or Tidal Basin
- Dinner in Georgetown, Dupont Circle, or Penn Quarter
- Venues across the District, from hotel ballrooms to event spaces
What to know:
- DC traffic is worst between 4:00 and 7:30 PM on weekdays. Saturday proms are easier to navigate.
- Parking near the monuments is limited. Your chauffeur will know where to stage and how to time photo stops.
- Many DC schools hold prom at hotels downtown (the Mayflower, the Willard, the Marriott Marquis). Drop-off is straightforward, but pickup timing matters because multiple schools share venues on the same weekends.
Service areas we cover in DC: Northwest, Georgetown, Capitol Hill, Southwest Waterfront, Navy Yard, Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan.
Northern Virginia Prom Transportation
Northern Virginia is our home base, and we handle more NoVA prom bookings than any other area. The spread of schools across Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Prince William County means longer routes, which affects how many hours you need.
Fairfax County
Fairfax, Falls Church, Vienna, McLean, Great Falls, Tysons Corner, Burke, Springfield, Centreville, Chantilly.
High school proms in Fairfax County typically run at hotels along the Tysons corridor or in Fairfax City. Groups coming from the western part of the county (Centreville, Chantilly) should plan for 30-45 minutes of travel time to most venues.
Loudoun County
Ashburn, Leesburg, Sterling, South Riding, Purcellville, Aldie.
Loudoun is growing fast, and prom groups here often travel 30-45 minutes east to DC or Tysons for venues and dinner. Book 4-5 hours minimum if your route includes DC photo stops.
Prince William County
Woodbridge, Manassas, Gainesville, Haymarket, Dale City, Lake Ridge, Bristow.
Longer travel distances to DC-area venues. Groups from Woodbridge or Manassas heading into DC should budget 5+ hours for the full prom night route.
Alexandria & Arlington
Alexandria, Arlington, Crystal City, Rosslyn, National Landing, Kingstowne.
Closest NoVA suburbs to DC. Shorter routes mean 3-4 hours usually covers the full night. Old Town Alexandria is a popular pre-prom photo location.
NoVA prom booking tip: Fairfax County alone has 25+ high schools, and many hold prom on the same two or three weekends in May. Our fleet gets stretched during those weekends. Book at least 6 weeks out.
Maryland Prom Transportation
Maryland prom groups split between two patterns: Montgomery County groups heading into DC, and Prince George’s County / Anne Arundel County groups staying local or heading to Baltimore.
Montgomery County
Bethesda, Rockville, Potomac, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Olney, Chevy Chase, Silver Spring.
Montgomery County is close to DC, so most prom groups here do photos at the monuments and dinner in Georgetown or Bethesda before heading to their venue. Routes are shorter, 3-4 hours typically covers everything.
Prince George’s County
Bowie, Upper Marlboro, Waldorf, College Park, Largo.
Prom venues in PG County range from local event spaces to DC hotels. Groups from Waldorf or Upper Marlboro heading into DC should plan for 45+ minutes each way and book 5 hours minimum.
Annapolis & Anne Arundel County
Annapolis, Severna Park, Crofton, Glen Burnie, Odenton.
Annapolis prom groups often stay local with venues along the waterfront or in the historic district. The Naval Academy grounds and Annapolis Harbor are popular photo spots. If heading to DC or Baltimore for the venue, add travel time accordingly.
Baltimore
Baltimore, Towson, Columbia, Ellicott City, Catonsville.
Baltimore has its own prom scene with venues at the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, and hotel ballrooms in the Harbor East area. Columbia and Ellicott City groups split between Baltimore and DC-area venues. We serve the full Baltimore metro for prom season.
How to Plan Your DMV Prom Route
No matter where you’re coming from, the planning process is the same:
- Lock in headcount. This determines vehicle choice. Don’t shop for vehicles until you have a firm number.
- Map the full route. Photos → dinner → venue → drop-offs. Write down each stop with the address.
- Estimate total time. Add up travel time between stops plus time at each location:
- Photos: 45 min to 1 hour
- Dinner: 1 hour (plus travel)
- Event: 2-3 hours
- Drop-offs: 30-60 minutes depending on how spread out the group lives
- Book early. 4-6 weeks minimum for the DMV. Prom season overlaps with cherry blossom tourism and spring wedding season, so fleet availability drops fast in April and May.
- Assign one parent contact. One adult who has the chauffeur’s number and can handle changes. Not the students.
- Confirm everything in writing. Vehicle, route, pickup time, total cost, gratuity, overtime rate. No surprises on prom night.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you serve all of DC, Maryland, and Virginia for prom?
We cover the full DMV: Washington DC, all of Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Arlington, Alexandria), and Maryland from Montgomery and Prince George’s counties through Annapolis, Columbia, and Baltimore. If you’re within roughly 60 miles of DC, we can get to you.
How many hours should we book for a DMV prom?
It depends on your route. Groups staying within one area (DC only, or Annapolis only) can usually do 3-4 hours. Groups traveling from outer suburbs into DC for photos, dinner, and the venue should plan for 5-6 hours. We can help you estimate when you call.
When do DMV prom dates usually fall?
Most DC-area high schools hold prom between late April and early June, with the heaviest weekends in May. Fairfax County and Montgomery County schools often land on the same weekends, which is why fleet availability gets tight. Book as early as possible.
Can we do pickups at multiple addresses?
Yes. Many prom groups have students spread across different neighborhoods. We can plan a pickup route that collects everyone, though each additional stop adds time. Keep it to 2-3 pickup points to stay on schedule.
What if our prom is outside the DMV?
We handle longer-distance prom runs to destinations like Virginia Beach, the Eastern Shore, or Pennsylvania. Just let us know the full route when you request a quote, and we will price it based on distance and time.
